Inside AR 2011: John C. Havens Announced As Keynote Speaker

July 26, 2011

As some of you already know, on Friday we announced that Björn Ekelund, Head of Ecosystems and Research for ST-Ericsson will be delivering on of the excellent Keynotes that we’ve got lined up for this year’s insideAR 2011. Today, we’re announcing the next featured Keynote speaker: John C. Havens.

John is a published author and the Executive Vice President of Social Media at Porter Novelli. He writes often of emerging technology and augmented reality, and has contributed to many publication. You can check out his latest article in Mashable, “Who Owns the Advertising Space in an Augmented Reality World?”. Here’s a brief description of John’s Keynote, which is sure to expand on the questions he introduced in the above article:

Who owns the advertising space in an augmented world? What keeps multiple brands from owning the same virtual space? How will people, companies and institutions react on the possibilities and risks arising through mixed realities? John will also elaborate on how Facebook and Google are affecting identity in a way that will be directly mirrored by AR. He thinks that people need to stop thinking that AR is just for gaming or entertainment but it is the way we will literally see the world in the future.

Over the coming weeks we’ll be releasing more and more information on this year’s Inside AR in Munich, Sept 26-27, including speaking sessions, activities, and other Keynote speakers.
