mediagrand wins metaio Mobile SDK!

Good things come to those who survey.

“Hey. Who took my augmented stereo? Not cool.”

We recently conducted a lovely survey of some of our users and developers in the hopes that we would get their thoughts and feedback on the metaio Mobile SDK, one of the best platforms out there for developing robust, vision-based augmented reality applications for Android and iOS.

We promised that one lucky winner, chosen at random, would receive a free Custom Branded Option (~$6k value) Mobile SDK and we’re happy to announce that the winner is Paul Lewis of mediagrand!

Paul was ecstatic about his good news:

Winning a copy of the metaio Mobile SDK custom branding option (CBO) is fantastic news and I’m really excited about it.

We’ve been using the Mobile SDK at Media Grand since it was released and find it suits our needs perfectly. It’s also the core of the Junaio browser so we know how flexible and powerful it is.

Having a copy of the CBO version means we’ll be able to significantly reduce the cost of development, which is great news for our clients. It will also help us to establish our position in the growing augmented reality industry which is a great boost.

Looking ahead, we have clients wanting to create their own AR apps that reflect what they’ve seen in other apps on the market. Being able to reduce our costs will hopefully provide the impetus for those ideas to finally move into production which is great for business, and for the growth of augmented reality as a whole.

Great to hear, Paul. Hopefully this lucky win leads to a slew of cool, upcoming projects!
